Sons Of God: Is Jesus God's Son?

What do we mean when we say that Jesus is God's Son? The Godhead (Elohim), Our Creator, the One who said "Let us (plural) make man in our (plural) own image" Gen 1:26 consists of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. All are three Persons in One. Jesus is THE Son of God by His beginning-less and uncreated eternal life and being the only begotten of God. He is very God and shares the same life with the Father, same nature, same Kind as the father. Now let's come down to earth. A human family consists of the father, the mother and lets say a son. Each of the three is as much MAN as the other. But the Father is greater than the son as one who must be obeyed. This is a matter of role. He is the head of the home and the woman is to submit to him. If we can grasp this then we will see how and why the Father is greater than the Son and must be obeyed even though the Son himself is God since He has no beginning just like the Father.
